Notorious thief caught and tied to pole for stealing fowl

A well-known thief who scared the people of Mankesim in the Central Region has been caught.

The 28-year-old suspect, Ebo Karim, had been on the police's radar for two years because he had been involved in a number of crimes in the area.

Eyewitnesses who talked to Seth Kofi Adjei of Adom News said that he likes to break into people's homes to steal mostly domestic and commercial chickens and other things.

He was caught, though, when he tried to steal a chicken and the owner raised the alarm.

Suspect Ebo attempted to flee the scene, but he was nabbed and beaten severely before being tied to a light pole.


In an interview with Adom News, the suspect's sister, who gave her name as Esi, said that her brother had been doing bad things.

At the time the report was written, the people who knew him had not yet given him to the police.
