Nurse Commits Suicide Over Failed Marriage

David Atinga, a 34-year-old nurse, was found hanged at the Kpasera CHPS compound in Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

According to information gathered by Adom News, Mr Atinga allegedly killed himself because of his lover.

Sources say the lover's family allegedly asked the dead man to become a Muslim before they would allow him to marry the woman.

In an interview, some locals said that some traditional rites were performed at the scene before the body was taken down from the tree.

The body has since been taken to the Tamale Teaching Hospital by the Gonja Central District Police.
