Panic-stricken NPP planting its members at the EC but NDC will still win – Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his belief that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is becoming increasingly apprehensive about losing the upcoming 2024 general elections.

In response, Mahama has alleged that the President has been placing members of his party within the Electoral Commission (EC) to manipulate the electoral outcome in their favor.

However, Mahama has reassured his supporters that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will emerge victorious in the elections, even with these alleged actions being taken by the NPP.

During a campaign event aimed at securing the NDC’s nomination for the 2024 elections, Mahama emphasized the importance of a free and fair election and confirmed that the NDC has no intentions of engaging in electoral fraud or permitting anyone else to do so.

He also claimed that the NPP has been positioning their own members within the EC, thus compromising the independence of the commission. Mahama argued that this undermines the integrity of the election and further confirmed that recent appointments made to the EC are exclusively individuals affiliated with the NPP.
