Papa Oppong makes history as first Ghanaian designer to receive Fashion Trust U.S. Awards

Papa Oppong Bediako, a highly skilled Ghanaian fashion designer and illustrator, has made history as one of the first individuals to receive the prestigious Fashion Trust U.S. Awards.

This non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting emerging designers by providing them with valuable resources such as funding and mentorship.

Papa Oppong Bediako, who is currently based in New York City, was recognized for his exceptional performance as an MFA graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology, receiving the Graduate Award from the organization.

The talented designer expressed his gratitude on Instagram, stating that he was filled with joy and overwhelmed by the honor bestowed upon him. As part of his prize, he will also receive a monetary grant.
