Police Arrest Man For Cutting Friend’s Palm Over GH30

Stephen Ansah, who is 20 years old, cut his friend's hand with a cutlass at Pomaa Pokuase in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region. He was arrested by the police there.

Chief Inspector Gilbert Ayongo told Ghana News Agency that the incident happened and that Mr. Emmanuel Appiah, who is 22 years old, is being treated at the Assin Fosu Polyclinic.

He said that the victim asked for his share of the GH30 they earned together, but Ansah wouldn't give it to him. This went on for two weeks.

He said that the victim, who needed money quickly, told Ansah's father about what happened. This didn't sit well with Ansah, so he went to the victim's house with a cutlass and tried to stab him in the stomach.
The victim grabbed the cutlass with both hands as the suspect pulled it, cutting off some of the victim's fingers.

Ansah ran away after hurting the victim, but he was caught after getting a tip. His court date is set for December 9, 2022.
