Sad News Hits NDC

A former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Bole-Bamboi Member of Parliament (MP), Joseph Saaka Akati, has been reported dead.

Mr. Akati is said to have passed on on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Accra.
The cause of death is unknown yet.

Family sources indicate the body will be flown from Accra to Bole on Tuesday evening with all burial arrangements to be communicated later.

Akati won the Bole Bamboi seat with 11,452 votes in 2008, succeeding John Dramani Mahama who was running ran alongside the late John Atta Mills for presidency that year.
That was when he began his political career, representing his people in the 5th parliament. He
Mr Akati was survived by seven children.
