Sad News Hits NDC And NPP

A Former DCE Mr. Robert Bakah Wavei died in Tumu, which is in the Sissala East Municipality, while the NDC was in charge. His body was taken to a morgue in Jirapa Municipality after he died on November 12, 2022. He had been alive for 68 years.

After being kicked out of the NDC on April 5, 2020, he joined the New Patriotic Party in September 2020. He switched to the NPP on September 9, 2020. He said he did so because former President Mahama decided to get rid of payments to teachers and nurses who were in training.

In a letter signed by Mr. Guguo Ali, who was the Secretary at the time, he said that the late Former DCE had broken article 46, clause II of the Party's constitution, which says that members must always support and follow party decisions.

In 2016, Mr. Wavei campaigned for Mr. Patrick Adams of the New Patriotic Party, who had been the MP for Sissala West.

In 1992, when Sissala West and East were both part of the Sissala District, Mr. Wavei was named DCE. He held this position for three different terms.

He was the DCE for Sissala West during the administrations of former President Rawlings and the late former President Mills.

He will be buried at Silbelle in the Sissala West District on January 14, 2023. Thanksgiving will be on January 15, 2023, which is a Sunday.
