Sad News Hits NDC Delegate Ahead Of Congress

A man from the Northern Region who was a delegate for the main opposition party, the NDC, and was known as AU Farouk, is said to have died as reported by starrfm

People say that the popular caller to most morning radio and TV shows across the country has passed out at the University of Ghana, where most Congress delegates have been staying.

Since then, his body has been brought back to Tamale to be buried.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will choose new leaders for the party today, Saturday, December 17, 2022.

At least 9,000 delegates are coming from different parts of the country to the Accra Sports Stadium for the congress.

In the NDC elections, the race for national chairmanship between the current chair, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the current general secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, a former member of parliament, Nii Armah Ashiety, and Samuel Yaw Adusei, is the most important one to keep an eye on.

In a high-stakes election, General Secretary Asiedu Nketiah will give Chairman Ofosu Ampofo a tough run for his money. The two frontrunners have worked hard for the party and are ready to put up a fierce fight to win.

The party's fundraising drive brought in GH1,083,000 to pay for the 10th national congress, which will be held today, December 17, 2022, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
