Sad News Sad Parliament

Alhaji Mohammed Hardi Tufeirua, who is the Member of Parliament for Nanton and also serves as the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, was involved in a car accident on his way to Parliament to attend the proceedings related to the three revenue Bills on Friday, March 31.

Despite the accident, all three revenue bills, namely the Income Tax Amendment Bill, Excise Duty Amendment Bill, and Growth and Sustainability Amendment Bill, were passed by Parliament.

The government's aim is to generate around GH¢4 billion per year to supplement the country's domestic revenue.
