Sam George Uses The Bible To Label Building Of A Cathedral Foolish

Sam George, MP for Ningo-Prampram, said that based on the Bible, the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo looks pretty stupid for not knowing how much it would cost to build the National Cathedral before they started.

Sam George, who is a true Christian and an Elder in his church, used Luke 14:28–30 to show that the Bible says it's not smart to start building without knowing how much it will cost.

He also wondered why some of the project's trustees, who he called "Spiritual Fathers," had stayed in their jobs despite the controversy the project had caused. He also said that the fact that the National Cathedral would be used for non-Christian programs was a threat to Christianity.

"The Bible says that our government looks pretty Foolish’.

Hon. Sam Dzata George spoke about the 80 million cedis budget for the National Cathedral in Parliament on December 21, 2022. The minority voted against spending an extra 80 million cedis on the cathedral to keep taxpayers' money from being wasted.
