See What Happened To Man After Breaking Into A Church At 4am To Loot

The Amotekun Corps in Osun has arrested a 47-year-old man accused of breaking into the Cheribum and Seraphim Church in the Ogo-Oluwa area of Osogbo.

Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi (retd), the Amotekun Commander in the state, alleged that the suspect broke into the church at about 4am on Friday.

On Saturday, he told reporters in Osogbo that the culprit was apprehended after a resident alerted the corps members.

"One of the villagers in Ogo-Oluwa panicked and called our men to say that a church was being robbed and that they urgently needed the help of our operatives to apprehend the culprit.

When the culprit tried to flee the scene with his loot, our operatives swung into action," the officer said.

According to Adewinmbi, the suspect was found to be in possession of a sound system engine, microphones, drum sets and other equipment.

The commander reported that the suspect had been handed over to the police for further investigation.

He urged the public to continue to provide the police with information that would help reduce crime in the state.

He warned residents to always report suspected illegal activities whenever they see them.
