Sekondi High Court Jails Nhyiraba Kojo

So, here's the scoop: Nhyiraba Kojo, who is a famous Hip Life Musician and also owns the NK City Nightclub in Fijai-Takoradi, has been given a 30-day prison sentence by the Sekondi Commercial High Court for contempt according a report by Citi News.

This is in relation to a case filed by three residents of Fijai who were unhappy with the noise coming from the nightclub.

The judge in charge of the case, Justice Sedina Agbemava, sentenced Nhyiraba Kojo to jail because he failed to comply with an interlocutory injunction order from the court. The order required him to reduce the noise levels at the nightclub, install soundproofing, and submit a report to the court.

The three residents who brought the case are Edmund Sampana Dienorng, Nicholas Imbeah, and Samuel Kofi Dzukey. Speaking to Citi News, the lawyer for the residents, Pamela Arvoh-Mensah, explained that the court has given Nhyiraba Kojo a choice. He can either serve his 30-day sentence or take steps to rectify the situation before his time in prison is up.
