Shatta Wale’s brutal insults made Nana Ama Mcbrown quit UTV

You may recall that in the second week of January this year, Shatta Wale - the self-proclaimed king of African dancehall - for reasons known only to him, launched a vicious attack on beloved Ghanaian movie legend, Nana Ama McBrown.

As we all know, Shatta Wale enjoys picking on defenceless people for no reason in order to gain attention and fame.

The former UTV United Showbiz presenter was denigrated by Shatta Wale in a new scathing attack, calling her an incompetent person who worked for the TV station for the obvious reason.

Shatta Wale also suggested that Dr Osei Kwame Despite should sack Nana Ama McBrown and replace her with graduates who are more knowledgeable about the current entertainment landscape.

The decision to hire McBrown is a massive "NO-NO" to him even though Shatta Wale praised Dr Osei Kwame for giving young people opportunities to get jobs.

In one part of the video, Shatta Wale is heard saying, You people are villagers, all your programmes are bullsh*t, Nana Ama McBrown doesn't know anything about presenting, according to the quote.

Fast-forward, according to news reports following Nana Ama McBrown's departure from UTV, Shatta Wale's slurs against her were a major factor in her decision to leave Despite Media.

In a viral audio clip made by an insider, Mcbrown expressed her hurt over Shatta Wale's attack on her and his call for her to be sacked despite their friendly relationship.

The woman who spoke in the video claims Mcbrown decided to leave UTV after considering Shatta's comments and coming to the conclusion that most Ghanaians are unhappy with the way her show keeps sparking unnecessary disputes.

She took the decision to permanently step down as the host of UTV's United Showbiz in order to preserve her reputation and brand.
