Shocking: Brother Stabs Pregnant Sister To Death And Burns Her Body

Police say they arrested a man in California because he stabbed and burned to death his pregnant sister just days after her baby shower.

On Wednesday, December 14, the Fresno Police Department said that 41-year-old Aaron Dudley was arrested for killing 26-year-old N'kya Rebecca Logan and her unborn son in Fresno.

On Tuesday afternoon, December 13, a maintenance crew found Logan's burning body near an apartment complex in the 4400 block of North Cornelia Street.

A suspicious person was seen pushing a city trash can along an unpaved road near the housing complex and then setting fire to its contents, according to a witness who called the police.

Police say that surveillance footage from the area shows Dudley pushing the trash can on the day of the incident.

Dudley was caught by police as he tried to get away from the west Fresno home he shared with his sister and their mother. They were there to carry out a search warrant.

Authorities said Logan was 36 weeks pregnant and had a baby shower on December 11, just two days before she was killed.

The killing, according to Fresno Police Chief Paco Balderrama, was "horrific."

Balderrama said that Logan was going to call her baby boy Noah. The chief says that the baby did not make it after being stabbed multiple times inside the uterus.

Investigators think Dudley repeatedly stabbed his younger sister with a sharp object, dumped her body in a city trash can, rolled the can four blocks to a dirt road, poured gasoline on the body, and set it on fire.

Police did not say what could have caused the killing, but they did say that officers had been called to the siblings' house on July 28, 2021, when Logan said she was afraid for her safety.

Balderrama said that Dudley was put on a 72-hour hold because he was thought to be a threat to himself or to other people.

Officials say that Dudley is now being charged with two counts of murder because his sister's unborn baby probably could have lived outside the womb.

"It takes a lot of evil, hatred, and planning to stab your own sister multiple times," Balderrama said at the press conference. He also said that he hasn't stopped thinking about this case since he first heard about it.
