According to a report by Wontumionline, lawyer Maurice Ampaw has criticized Prof. Frimpong-Boateng for sharing details of a private telephone call with Gabby Otchere-Darko to the public, calling him politically immature. Although Prof.

Frimpong-Boateng has had a successful career as a heart surgeon, lawyer Ampaw believes that he has failed as a politician and does not find his political career interesting.

The call in question involved Gabby Otchere-Darko questioning Prof. Frimpong-Boateng's decision to order the dislodgement of equipment of a Mining Company Imperial Heritage, which he believed was mining illegally in forest reserves with a prospecting license. Gabby defended his actions, stating that he was acting as a senior partner of Africa Legal Associates and legal representative of the company.

In response to the release of a 36-page report by Prof. Frimpong-Boateng, lawyer Ampaw called it "bogus" and thanked President Akufo-Addo for rejecting it. He believes that the report is highly incompetent and was written by someone who was angry and not happy.

Overall, lawyer Ampaw think what Prof. Frimpong-Boateng did was wrong and believes that sharing private phone conversations with the public shows political immaturity.
