Son reports father for allegedly killing his mother after a failed attempt on his sister’s life

A Jesmondine Lusaka boy who is 17 years old has told police that his father killed his mother in cold blood.

In this case, Tinderai Luwisi, who is 44 years old, is said to have killed his wife, Pellegia Muligwi, who was 38 years old.

Yesterday at about 18:30, the thing happened in Jesmondine Township.

Initial investigations show that the accident happened when their 12-year-old son was sent to the mall while the parents stayed home with their 12-year-old daughter.

When the son got home, he saw his dad drive out of the yard, and when he tried to get in, he found that the door was locked.

He went in through the window and saw his mother on the floor, covered in blood.

After being called, the police rushed to the scene and found the victim on the ground with deep cuts on his neck. The crime is thought to have been done with a sharp tool.

Danny Mwale, who is the deputy police spokesperson, has confirmed the event.

Mr. Mwale said that the victim was then rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The body is in the mortuary at UTH, waiting for an autopsy.

Luwisi, who was on the run, was later in an accident between 19:00 and 20:00 on Thabo Mbeki Road near the offices of Price Waterhouse Coopers.
