Hajia Bintu has clarified that she used the power of social media and influencer marketing to purchase her Mercedes-Benz GLC63, contrary to popular belief.
The 24-year-old influencer became famous in 2021 after her curvaceous backside videos went viral. Before becoming famous, she worked as a waitress at the Peduase Valley Resort.
In an interview on The Delay Show on TV3, Bintu revealed that she had saved enough money from her influencer deals and instant ads on Snapchat to buy the $150,000 SUV.
She explained how she made money from instant ads, stating that posting 5 or 10 ads a day could earn her up to 500 cedis.
"If I post instant ads on Snap and make 500 cedis, imagine posting 5 or 10 a day, multiplied by a week and a total in a month and this is just one category of ads," she said.
Bintu also assured that the car was hers and would not be taken by a second owner in the future. She further disclosed that she had swapped her Jaguar SUV to acquire the new Mercedes Benz.
