'The youth of today sleep too much' – McDan to Ghanaians

Dr. Daniel McKorley, CEO of the McDan Group of Companies, has said that young people in Ghana aren't taking things seriously enough.

He said that the country isn't getting better as fast as it should be because young people don't work hard enough.

Wednesday on Joy FM's Super Morning Show, he said that the youth's lack of success is due to the fact that they "sleep too much."

"Today's youth sleep too much, and that's the problem. We've been treated like kids, and this whole country, especially the young people, are becoming beggars, and we have to stop that," he said.

"There are a lot of opportunities out there, and there are a lot of things young people can do. However, they need to go one step further and know that manna won't fall from the sky. "You have to do something before you can get there," he said.

The CEO went on to say that the young people needed to sit down and write a plan for how they could help fill a need in society.

"There's too much money in the system, but young people don't know how to get it. "They sometimes look at things from the wrong angles, which is a problem," he said.

He said that the many ways to make money took hard work, so he told young people to go the extra mile.
