Total madness! Kwakye Ofosu reacts to Mahama’s law suit

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a former Deputy Minister of Information, expressed his strong disapproval of the lawsuit challenging the eligibility of former President John Dramani Mahama to run in the 2024 general elections.

Taking to Twitter, Kwakye Ofosu referred to the lawsuit as "madness" and criticized the NPP for attempting to bar Mahama from the upcoming elections. The lawsuit was filed by Kenneth Agyei Kuranchie, the Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight. Kuranchie seeks several reliefs, including a declaration that a presidential term in Ghana is four years and that a person seeking a second term must be a sitting president.

Additionally, Kuranchie seeks an order for Mahama to disclose his engagements with Parliament as the flagbearer of a political party. It is worth noting that Mahama was recently elected as the NDC's Presidential Candidate for the 2024 general elections, securing an overwhelming majority of the valid votes during the party's primaries. In conclusion, Kwakye Ofosu's criticism of the lawsuit reflects his strong disagreement with the attempt to prevent Mahama from contesting the upcoming elections.
