In the past 24 hours, the Nigerian entertainment industry has been devastated by the loss of three talented actors. Murphy Afolabi, Saint Obi, and Adedigba Mukaila have all passed away, leaving their colleagues and fans in deep sorrow.

Murphy Afolabi's tragic demise was announced just hours ago. Tunde Ola Yusuf, a fellow actor, confirmed the news on his Instagram page, expressing his condolences and praying for Murphy's soul to rest in peace. It was reported that Murphy fell in his bathroom and suffered a fatal head injury, leading to his untimely death. This unfortunate event occurred shortly after he celebrated his 49th birthday.

Saint Obi, known by his stage name, also met a sad fate. His passing was announced on Saturday evening, revealing that he had been battling an undisclosed illness for several months. Sources shared that he had recently relocated to his sister's home in Jos and was frequently seen traveling to the hospital. Although no official statement has been released, Saint Obi's sister seems to be intentionally keeping details about his passing private. His ex-wife, Lydia, remains unaware of the situation as well. Saint Obi, an Imo-born actor, had an impressive career with appearances in over 100 movies.

Prior to Saint Obi's death, the Nigerian film industry mourned the loss of Adedigba Mukaila, popularly known as Alafin Oro. The Yoruba actor passed away in the early hours of Saturday. Kunle Afod, another actor, took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news and pay tribute to his colleague. Veteran actor Yinka Quadri also confirmed the news, while actresses Funke Etti and Kemi Afolabi expressed their condolences. Adedigba Mukaila was recognized for his roles in Yoruba films and will be dearly missed by the entire industry.

The deaths of Murphy Afolabi, Saint Obi, and Adedigba Mukaila have left a void in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Their talent, contributions, and unique personalities will be remembered and cherished. May their souls rest in peace, and may their loved ones find solace during this difficult time.
