Two Perpetrators Convicted for Assaulting Tamale Radio Presenter

The Ghana Police Service has announced that the individuals accused of being involved in the attack on a radio presenter in Tamale have been found guilty.

After conducting an investigation into the assault on a radio presenter that occurred on May 3rd, 2023, the Police presented the case before the Tamale District Court on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023.

The two accused persons, namely Iddrisu Hardi, also known as Pagaaza, and his accomplice Mumuni Osman, were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, assault, unlawful entry, and threat of death.

Both individuals pleaded guilty to all four charges and were convicted based on their own admission. As a result, they were sentenced to pay a fine of Three Thousand, Six Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH₵3,600.00) each. In the event of non-payment, they would serve a custodial sentence of 18 months imprisonment involving hard labor.

Upon their convictions, the two individuals promptly paid their fines to the Court.

The Police have also made it clear that their identities have been revealed because they are no longer considered suspects but have now been officially convicted.
