Video: First Runner-Up of Miss Golden Stool Collapses on Stage after Winner Announced

Abigail Duodu, the first runner-up for Miss Golden Stool 2022, passed out on stage after the winner was named.

The final of the Miss Golden Stool pageant took place at the Accra International Conference Center on November 27, 2022.


After the winner was announced, the first runner-up, Abigail Duodu, fell down on the stage.

In a video shared by @Sammykay, Abigail was crying while holding a check for 5,000 Ghana cedis as the prize. She looked beautiful in her African print dress.

After allegedly being cheated, family, friends, and supporters were seen shouting and telling people to skip the event. Abigail fell down, and the people in charge of the event rushed to help her.


Pageantry is used by Miss Golden Stool to show the rich culture and traditions of the Ashanti Region.

Akua GMB started the pageant and is also its CEO. In 2011, she was named Ghana's Most Beautiful.
