Well, a well-known pathologist in Bulawayo, Dr Roger Kruger Hendrick Chigangacha, added up the money he spent on the child and the pain he went through over the years because of the lie and came up with US$163,000, which he now wants from the woman.
The doctor is suing his ex-girlfriend Natasha Popova Sibanda, who lives abroad and was an actress on TV show Amakorokoza, for US$163,000 for lying about him being the father of 'her' child. Natasha played AK's wife in the drama.
Dr Chingangacha, through his lawyers Mashayamombe and Company Attorneys, sent a summons to the Bulawayo High Court. The summons named Sibanda as the respondent in case number HC51/23.
The summons was filed on 20 January 2023.
DNA test
The pathologist said his ex-girlfriend had lied about the father of her 11-year-old daughter by saying he was the father.
But in December last year, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) profiling was carried out on Dr Chigangacha and his alleged daughter, and the results showed that the pathologist was not the girl's biological father.

In papers filed in court, Dr Chigangacha said Sibanda's actions had left him feeling ashamed, stressed and betrayed.
"On 19 December 2022, my DNA and that of the child were tested and the results proved beyond doubt that I was not the biological father of the child. "The defendant should have known or had good reason to know that her promiscuous behaviour at the time of conception would result in me being wrongly accused of being the father of the child," he said.
Dr. Chigangacha said that Sibanda passed off her daughter as his, even though he knew that he was not the father of the child.
"Because of what the defendant did, I believed what she said was true and paid for all of the child's schooling until December 31, 2022.
I have also spent some money on travel and other costs related to the child's general well-being and care," he said.
Dr. Chigangacha wants the court to tell Sibanda to give him US$100,000 because she wrongly and dishonestly said he was the father of the child.
He also wants the court to order the former actress to pay special damages of US$63, 000 for the child's education, health, and other costs, such as her upkeep and welfare.
Dr. Chigangacha wants the money to be paid with interest at the legal rate from the date the summons was issued until the date the money is paid in full.
He said that Sibanda gave him the right to name the child soon after she gave birth. Dr. Chigangacha also said under oath at the office of the registrar of births that he was the child's real father.
Dr. Chigangacha said that he had a sexual relationship with Sibanda outside of his marriage from 2011 to June 2012. On May 20, 2012, Sibanda got pregnant and gave birth.
Sibanda has yet to answer the call. In 2014, Sibanda made headlines when Dr. Chigangacha's wife, Tholakele Ncube, took her to court and accused her of having an affair with her husband with Sibanda.
Ncube said that Sibanda would often come to her home after they were married and tell her that she was now the doctor's new and loving wife.
Sibanda said out loud that she would always love the doctor and that Ncube should accept that they were both now Dr. Chigangacha's wives.
Dr Chigangacha said Sibanda passed off her daughter as his when he knew he was not the child's father.
"Because of what the accused did, I believed that what she said was true and paid for the child's entire school fees until 31 December 2022.
I also spent some money on travel and other expenses related to the child's general welfare and care," he said.
Dr Chigangacha wants the court to order Sibanda to pay him US$100,000 for falsely and dishonestly claiming that he was the child's father.
He also wants the court to order the former actress to pay special damages of US$63,000 for the child's education, health and other costs such as maintenance and welfare.
