WN/R: Man Sets Fire to Ex-Wife's Home, Attempts to Kill Her and Four Children

A man known as Agya, identified to be in his early forties, has allegedly set fire to his ex-wife's two-bedroom apartment in an attempt to kill her and her four children according to a publication by onuaonline.

The man, who is a bar operator at Sehwi Kwawkrom, committed the heinous act at Sehwi Abrokofe, where his former wife, Abena Badu, and her children were residing. According to sources, the man had followed his ex-wife to her new residence after accusing her of breaking his plastic bucket at Kwawkrom.

The couple had been previously married, but due to numerous threats to kill his wife, she had to leave him and relocate to Sehwi Abrokofe with the help of her uncle, Thomas Darkwah, to ensure the safety of herself and her children.

Despite relocating, he still pursued them and set their building ablaze. The neighbors intervened, but an 8-year-old girl sustained burns to both limbs and was rushed to the Sehwi Kofikrom SDA Hospital for treatment.

The suspect attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by the community and handed over to the police at Sehwi Boinzan.
