Watch: Untold Story Of How Screw Face Was Nearly Poisoned

Ghanaian artiste Jehoshaphat Eshun, popularly known as Screw Face, has described how he was almost poisoned by a group of strangers a few days ago.

The Gbalagazaa hitmaker revealed in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM that the incident was a scary time in his life as he couldn't understand why a gang of strangers would want to hurt him.

After playing basketball just three days earlier, Screw Face explained that he was approached by four boys in a pub he occasionally visits.

The musician claimed that when he was distracted by a fight between other patrons and the kebab vendor, they sat down with him and later slipped something into his drink.

He noticed that there was an object in his drink.

"I went to play basketball and thought I'd stop by this place I go to have a drink. I assumed no one would see me because I was wearing a nose mask, but four men came up to me and showed their support for my new song.”

“We were chatting when I heard some men arguing with the kebab vendor. I looked around as the commotion grew louder and the boys had slipped something into my drink. When I returned to my drink, I noticed that it was bubbling as if it had been splashed. I realised that they wanted the substance in the drink to settle when one of the boys advised me not to drink yet, as I was about to do.”

“When I poured the drink, after making an excuse to go to the toilet, I discovered the chemical that had been added. They had all fled by the time I returned to face them. None of them were people I know," said Screw Face.
