We Will Use Nigeria’s Method To Break The 8 In Ghana- Chairman Wontumi

Chairman Wontumi: "We will break the eight in Ghana the way Nigeria did."

According to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ghana would be the second nation in West Africa, after Nigeria, to retain an incumbent government.

According to Mr Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the NPP will use the same approach that the All Progressives Congress (APC) used to win the 2023 elections in Nigeria.

The NPP Chairman, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, stated, "We will use the same strategy to smash the 8 in Ghana.”

Speaking on the advantages of retaining the NPP, Chairman Wontumi said, "Malaysia is developed because only one political party had the opportunity to rule for a long time and successfully exploited that opportunity".

He noted, however, that Ghana's situation is unique and that this has affected the pace of growth because the country has changed governments every eight years since returning to democratic rule.

Bola Tinubu of the APC has been declared the winner of the presidential election.

The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, announced the results early on Wednesday.

Yakubu said Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 votes.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 6,984,520 votes, followed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) with 6,101,533 votes.
