Why I dumped Alan Cash’s camp for Bawumia – Former Fomena NPP Chair

In a recent statement, Mr. Akwasi Nti, a former chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Fomena Constituency, expressed his full support for Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the party's presidential candidate in the upcoming primaries.

Mr. Nti made it clear that he is not hiding his support for Dr. Bawumia and he is committed to working to ensure that the Vice President becomes the party's flagbearer.

When asked about his reasons for supporting Dr. Bawumia, Mr. Nti cited the Vice President's leadership qualities and competence, as well as his belonging to the Dombo tradition, which he believes gives Dr. Bawumia an edge in leading the party.

Mr. Nti also explained why he left the camp of Hon. John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, another presidential hopeful in the party. According to Mr. Nti, Hon. Kyerematen did not show him any support when he was suspended from the party three times, despite having been a longtime supporter of Hon. Kyerematen since 2007.
