Woman Caught Trying To Smuggle Wee Into Police Cell

On Sunday morning in Gilgil, Nakuru County, a woman was caught trying to sneak marijuana into a police cell.

The Gilgil Police Station has a report that says Ms. Caroline Imenza, who is 30 years old, was caught by police officers who were on duty.

People say that Ms. Imenza went to the station and asked to see her husband, Mr. Stephen Nyabuto, who is 40 years old. Nyabuto was taken into custody on Friday, November 25, 2022, on charges that he broke into a house and stole things.

On Sunday, Ms. Imenza told the people on duty that she had brought Nyabuto a loaf of bread.

"As a matter of course, the officers looked at the food (the bread), and the woman became scared and suspicious right away. "This made the officers very interested," the police report said.

The seal on the loaf of bread had also been messed with, which made the police suspicious. When they looked closer, they saw that the middle slices had been drilled and that five rolls of cannabis sativa had been hidden inside.

"The officers also found five sticks of cigarettes she hadn't smoked before and a matchbox hidden under intact bottom slices of bread. She was trying to sneak these things into the police cells," the police said.

Ms. Imenza reportedly begged the officers and tried to give them Sh2,000 to help her.

"The police officers immediately arrested the woman, and when they searched her more (while being careful not to invade her privacy), they found 80 rolls of cannabis sativa hidden in her underwear," the police said.

Today, Monday, November 28, 2022, Ms. Imenza and her husband are both due in court.
