Woman Discloses She Hasn't Slept with Husband for 7 Years, Says It's Secret to Happy Marriage

Neil Varcoe and Edwina Bartholomew have been married for five years, but Edwina said they had slept separately.

The TV presenter said it was the 'secret' to their happy marriage and that having two children didn't stop them being close.

Couples don't usually sleep in different beds or rooms for fun or to strengthen their relationship. It would be weird.

Not for a woman who's been married for ten years and is happy to have two children.


Edwina Bartholomew has told us about the strange things her handsome husband Neil Varcoe does at night.

Why rooms are shared

The Sunrise star said she and her husband of five years haven't slept in the same bed or room for seven years.

"One is for my husband's gym clothes and other 'manly' things. My room is always a mess. It's always clean. He works and makes beds. I do not. He puts his clothes away. If I need them again, I put mine on a chair.
It has been like that for about seven years. I sleep very well, but he tosses and turns. When I got up for work, he had trouble falling asleep, so we decided to try sleeping in different rooms," the 39-year-old told the Daily Mail.

She said people are often surprised when they arrive at her house and find separate rooms.

Despite sleeping in different rooms, Edwina said they are still close because they have two children together.
