Woman whose husband got arrested for abusing her, bails him out of prison after his family abandoned him

Police arrested a Nigerian woman's abusive husband, but his family members refused to bail him out of jail.

Even though he had only hurt his wife, she bailed him out of jail because she didn't want him to go to jail.

A widely shared Facebook post by @DPA law court read:

"DO YOU REMEMBER THIS WOMAN? For doing this to her, her husband was arrested and put in jail. His friends and family didn't help him out. They said that was where he should die. Who went behind us to get him out of trouble?

Here's how the woman's sister told us about it:

"My sister paid $10,000 to get her husband out of jail because his family wouldn't come. She said that even if they take the man to court, he will still end up in jail, which is too much for her to handle. She paid all of the bills, including the rent, because he wasn't working.
