Women are 'a superior being' and men know it – Omotola

Actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has claimed that men are well aware of the superiority of women.

She encouraged other women to recognise this and use their influence.

As the world celebrated International Women's Day (IWD) yesterday, 8 March, under the theme "DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality", the actress and philanthropist was one of the scheduled speakers at the inaugural Women of Valour conference.

Women should stop "looking for equality in a way that is very humiliating", she urged.

Speaking at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, she asked the crowd, "Do you know that you are the source of life?

Do you know what God has put in you? The famous film actor touched her stomach. "Do you understand what it means to be a woman?"

Even men recognise your superiority, she proclaimed.

She raised her voice for a punch, "The only person who does not know that she is a superior being is you. who works so hard to win them over to accept you.

"No, you don't need anyone to accept you.

You have to come into your power because you're a strong woman," the Nigerian star said emphatically.

The female audience erupted in applause.

Award-winning Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah is the creator of the Women of Valour conference.

According to Mrs Anamoah, it took her ten years to get the conference off the ground.

Her project is to encourage women.
