Sonnie Badu, a popular gospel artist from Ghana, has suggested that Christian Atsu's untimely death was spiritually caused by unidentified people.

The 'Covenant Keeping God' singer claimed that the earthquake was just a cover for the player's death in statements he made after his death.

Sonny Badu believes that although Christian Atsu's death was the result of a natural disaster, he was actually murdered and haunted.

Although his tweet was controversial, Sonnie Badu supported the local sentiments of many Ghanaians who believe that the death of a young person like Christian Atsu couldn't have been an accident.

The malicious family and friends who allegedly planned Christian Atsu's unexpected death by staging an earthquake that shook areas of Turkey and Syria to make it look natural were referred to as "yaanom" in the local dialect.
