You Must Be Dreaming If You Think NPP Will Fix The Economy - Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama told Ghanaians not to believe the New Patriotic Party (NPP) when it says it will fix the economy. He said the NPP has done all it can do and it cannot change anything in the remaining time.

He spoke to National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates at Binduri in the Upper East Region. He said the NPP has nothing good for Ghanaians.

Mr Mahama also said he will make President Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS policy and the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) better if he becomes president again in 2024.

He said making the two policies better will help Ghanaians and improve the policies.
Free SHS is not working well, the parents are not happy. I can tell you today that we are paying more money for our children to go to school than when we used to pay school fees, he said.

We will make free SHS better and make sure that all the children go to school and come home at the same time, he promised.

He also talked about corruption. He said he will punish anyone who steals the state’s money no matter which party they belong to.

NDC will come back and fight corruption hard because we all know that corruption is a big problem in this country,” he said. “People who take the state’s money must face the law and NDC will do that. It doesn’t matter if they are our friends or our enemies, we will treat them the same way.
