You have to be jobless to be attending rallies — Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who is in charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, says that political parties pay people to come to their rallies.

In a sermon at the RCCG January Holy Ghost Service on Friday, the well-known minister said this.

"I learn about it from the news. If people recommend you, I don't know if I should say this or not. I'm sure you've been watching the campaign rallies, because I've been doing the same thing on the news. I don't know if you've noticed, but two different people don't run for office in the same town at the same time.

"Has that caught your eye? Why don't you know? Because most of the people are there, most are rented. I come, I pay, and you get together. When I leave, another man comes, pays, and you all gather."

He also said, "Someone told me, 'Daddy, you always say that God hasn't told you who will win or who will...' Maybe because I have a lot on my mind, like the fact that most of the people in the crowd are young and the crowd is getting bigger.

"When I see tens of thousands of young people at these rallies, I know that they don't have jobs. What will happen when the elections are over?"

Adeboye had also given the impression that God had not yet told him who would be the next President of the country after the elections in 2023.

"You might be thinking that the election is next month and that He hasn't said anything yet. I think you should prepare your PVCs.

"If He doesn't say anything before the election, be ready to vote how your spirit tells you to. "If He tells me, I might or might not tell you," he said.
