In a recent statement, respected legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw has shared his perspective on the selection of a running mate for Vice President Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Ampaw suggests that Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum should be chosen over Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, due to alleged comments made by Napo regarding the prioritization of party paraphernalia over development in the Ashanti Region, which is considered the stronghold of the NPP.

He emphasized Adutwum's evident divine anointing and suggested that their pairing would ensure victory for the NPP.
