A Liberian woman was discovered dead in her room in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
Both the deceased and her son's lifeless body were discovered in their locked chamber.
The cause of their death is unknown to neighbors, who have expressed horror at the incident.
Days after they were last seen in the neighborhood of Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, a mother from Liberia and her kid were discovered dead in their chamber.

The neighbors reportedly stated that despite not seeing the woman or her child for a few days, they had no unfavorable suspicions.

The person that goes by the name Mommy is a hairdresser and is around 35 years old. Her 13-year-old son, whose name was withheld, is a boy.

The two were last spotted outside brushing their teeth on June 12, 2023, according to a UTV reporter.

On Sunday, they attended a birthday celebration. They were observed brushing their teeth in front of the house on Monday morning. After that, nobody saw them again. Some of her clients came to the house to inquire about her whereabouts. After a few days, the neighbors discovered flies were lingering behind the woman's window and that the room was emitting a horrible smell.
On June 14, 2023, the neighbors peered through the woman's window due to the unpleasant odor and the presence of flies around. They called the police after discovering the mother and child's bodies.

A neighbor told Citi News in Accra that everyone in the neighborhood was shocked and questioned how they could have died.

We realized the Liberian woman had been missing for a few days while sweeping this morning. We haven't seen them since she told me she intended to prepare beans and plantains, as I recall. When we noticed houseflies flying around the house where they lived, we stopped speculating where they might be. More locals came to the neighborhood because of this, according to Mary Amoah.
Due to the smell, it was difficult for the cops to remove the dead from the room. Only after the room had been sanitized were they able to remove the dead.
