Missing woman found dead in a bush

A 74-year-old Nigerian woman died in Ayebeahwe Beposo, a suburb of Akyem Kwamang in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region. The Eastern Regional Police Command has initiated an investigation into her death.

The deceased, identified only as Maa Pat, is a well-known Nigerian laborer residing in the area.

According to information collated by Kwasi Azor of Adom News, the woman was reported missing on Thursday, June 15, and was located on Sunday, June 18.

Okyeame Nkrumah, an opinion leader in the Ayebeahwe Beposo community, told Adom News that the woman's family had apprised him of her disappearance and that a search had been initiated.


The decedent was discovered lying face down with no apparent indications of struggle.

The police have visited the scene and recovered the body after being informed of the development.

The residents have therefore requested that the police investigate the circumstances surrounding her death and bring those responsible to justice.
