District level election: Isaac Annor retained as Aiyinasi South Assembly member













The incumbent Assembly Member of Aiyinasi South electoral area in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region, Isaac Annor alias Kokuma, has been maintained to champion development for the people in the area for the next four years.

The country went to the polls on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 to elect people as Assembly members to represent their residents at the local government.

At Aiyinasi South electoral area, Issac Annor polled 308 votes to defeat Petra Hudu who got 290 votes, Emmanuel Kwofie who had 86 votes and Asasre Seth who managed to get 37 votes.

The election was peacefully conducted.

Speaking to Daniel Kaku at Aiyinasi immediately after his victory, Isaac Annor gave thanks to God for giving him such remarkable victory.

"For of all, let me gives thanks to Almighty God for this important victory because it was not an easy contest, God has done a lot for me", he acknowledged.

He also commended the residents of the area for supporting him to retain the seat.



"In fact, the good people of Aiyinasi South electoral area have done well, from day one they have been very supportive, I'm very proud of them", he added.



He, therefore, invited on his opponents to join him to develop the area.



"I'm using this platform to invite my colleagues who couldn't win to join me to develop Aiyinasi South electoral area. My victory is for all, it is not about one person, we all won, what I need is unity so let us come together to develop our electoral area", he urged.



He took the opportunity to appeal to the Department of Ghana Highways to construct speed ramps on the Aiyinasi-Menzezor main road to save lives.



He pledged to lobby for more projects for the area.
