Eikwe District Church of Pentecost donates hospital items to St. Martin de Porres hospital

The Church of Pentecost, Eikwe District in the Ellembelle District of Axim Area in the Western Region, has donated hospital items valued at GHC5,300 to Saint Martin de Porres hospital at Eikwe.

The leadership of the church made the presentation to the hospital as part of activities earmarked to climax their 25th anniversary.

The aim of the kind gesture was to help the only hospital in the Ellembelle District to provide quality healthcare delivery by saving lives.

The items included; a hospital bed structure, 25 pieces of sewn curtains, 10 packed of bottled water.

The church members also took the opportunity to donate blood to the hospital.

During the celebration, the church led by its District Pastor embarked on evangelism outreaches and rallies to spread the gospel to others.

Speaking to the media after presentation, the District Minister of Eikwe District, Pastor William Quainoo commended his church members for supporting the district to donate items and blood to Eikwe Saint Martin de Porres hospital.

He also thanked God for the successful celebration of their 25th anniversary.

"We thank God for how far He has brought us, we also thank God for the success climax of our 25th anniversary"

He added, "let me use this opportunity to commend my church officers and members for supporting this anniversary to become colourful and remarkable".

Pastor Quainoo seized the opportunity to commend the Axim Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Daniel Mireku Gyamara for supporting and encouraging the Eikwe District of the church to support Saint Martin de Porres hospital with hospital items.

He urged the management of the hospital to put the items into good use.

On his part, Apostle Daniel Mireku Gyamara expressed his profound gratitude to the officers and members of the Eikwe District for supporting the Saint Martin de Porres hospital with items.

"In fact, my officers and members of Eikwe District in Axim Area have done well for giving back to the society, this kind gesture will go a long way to save lives, health is very important, if people are healthy there is no way they can serve Almighty God so I'm very very happy and proud of Eikwe District of The Church of Pentecost", he stated.

He took the opportunity to appeal to companies in Nzema to support Eikwe Saint Martin de Porres hospital and other health facilities in Nzema with hospital items to save lives.

Moreover, the management of Saint Martin de Porres hospital commended The Church of Pentecost, Eikwe District for the kind gesture.

They praised CoP for contributing to the society and helping to save lives at the hospital

Saint Martin de Porres hospital was established in 1959. It was formerly called Eikwe Catholic hospital.
