COURT DEMANDS MONEY FROM SHATTA WALE

Ghanaian dancehall sensation, @shattawalegh, has been directed by the court to compensate Wildaland Festival organizers with a total sum of $120,000, along with an additional $10,000 in interest, for his failure to fulfill a performance commitment for which he had already been paid. The court ruling also mandates him to pay GHC20,000 in damages. This legal action stems from the artist's non-appearance at the 2021 Wildaland Festival in Ghana, despite having received the full payment of $120,000 in advance. The festival founders pursued legal action, resulting in the court's decision to compel Shatta Wale to reimburse the full amount, inclusive of interest, and compensate for damages incurred.
