In a tragic incident on the Kumasi – Accra highway at Konongo, the late Ashanti Regional Accountant of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and his driver lost their lives in a horrifying accident. According to reports received by MyNewsGH.com, the two victims were crushed to death by a heavy-duty vehicle.


In a recent development, the Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr. Henry Osei Boateng, has confirmed the incident to MyNewsGH.com's Syxtus Eshun. The unfortunate incident involved an accountant named Osei Bonsu Kingsley Dafour and a driver named Richard Opuni.

In a recent revelation, Mr. Henry Osei Boateng shared an incident involving the police. According to him, the police informed him and others that they were on a journey from Kumasi, while another vehicle was travelling from Accra. The police explained that an overtaking manoeuvre took place during this encounter. In a series of unfortunate events, a collision occurred when one vehicle collided with the tail of another car. This incident took place at a particular location, where a cargo car from Konongo was involved in the accident for the second time, striking the same car once again. These chain of events ultimately led to the unfortunate accident.
