On August 2, 2023, at 16:00 hours, Apostle Christopher Kunda, aged 45 and the Church Leader for Presence of God Life Ministries International, was detained by the police at Central Police Station in Lusaka. The reason for his detention was Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm (OABH).

The incident occurred when he was advising Apostle Kunda against engaging in a romantic relationship with a female member of their church. The individual in question has recently been released on Police bond and is expected to make a court appearance in the near future.
