The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, along with other officials from the institution, recently faced scrutiny before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). During the hearing, they struggled to provide satisfactory responses to numerous inquiries regarding alleged infractions.

In a recent report, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has highlighted the unpreparedness of officials from UG (University of Greatness) during their appearance. The committee has strongly advised the university to take necessary measures to ensure adequate preparation for future engagements. The PAC, a government body responsible for scrutinising public expenditure, conducted an investigation into UG's recent appearance. The committee found that officials from the university were ill-prepared, raising concerns about their ability to effectively address important matters. The report emphasises the importance of thorough preparation when representing an institution in such engagements. It highlights that being well-prepared not only demonstrates professionalism but also ensures that officials can effectively address any issues or concerns that may arise. The PAC's advice to UG is clear: the university must take steps to ensure that its officials are adequately prepared for future appearances. This includes conducting thorough research, gathering relevant information, and developing a comprehensive understanding of the topics to be discussed. Furthermore, the report

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has recently made a significant announcement regarding the potential prosecution of certain officials from the University and NDK Financial Services. This decision comes as a result of an unresolved GH¢1.2 million investment fund, which the committee has repeatedly ordered the officials to recover. The PAC, a committee responsible for examining the use of public funds, has expressed its concerns over the failure to recoup the investment fund despite their previous directives. As a result, they have indicated that they may recommend the prosecution of the implicated officials. The investment fund in question involves a substantial amount of money, totaling GH¢1.2 million. Despite the PAC's repeated orders to recover the funds, it appears that no progress has been made. This lack of action has prompted the committee to consider taking legal measures against the officials involved. While the PAC has not provided specific details regarding the individuals who may face prosecution, it is clear that they are targeting certain officials from both the University and NDK Financial Services. These officials are believed to be responsible for the mismanagement or mishandling of the investment fund, resulting in the failure to recoup the funds. The PAC's decision to potentially recommend prosecution reflects their commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency in the use of public funds. By holding officials accountable for their actions, the committee aims to send a strong message that financial mismanagement will not be tolerated. It is important to

In a recent development, the University found itself in a position where it was unable to provide a satisfactory defence for its actions. The circumstances surrounding this situation have raised concerns and sparked discussions among various stakeholders.

The Office of Research Innovation and Development (ORID) at the University of Ghana, Legon, has found itself in a difficult situation. It had invested an amount of GH¢1,234,767.59 with NDK Financial Services back in 2019. Unfortunately, the funds have been locked up with no possibility of recouping them. This has put ORID in a challenging position, as it grapples with the loss of a significant investment.

The University of Ghana, Legon, recently announced that it has managed to recover a meagre amount of GH¢100,000.00 from the total funds of GH¢1,334,767.59. This recovery was made as of March 17, 2020, despite the fact that the funds were due to be redeemed by October 15, 2019. As a result, there is still a remaining balance of GH¢1,234,767.59 that needs to be recovered.
