Later, in July 2021, he received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of Professional Studies (UPS) in Accra.

Napo has been instrumental in accelerating the nation's successful development. It is understandable why he has received so many prestigious accolades.

In particular, the Energy and Education Ministries have benefited from his significant contributions to the country's change during the past six years.

Napo put in a lot of effort while serving as the education minister to implement the NPP government's signature initiative, the free Senior High School (SHS).

As he has fought to make the Energy Ministry dynamic thus far, Napo, who is renowned for his diligence, has inscribed his name in the letters of gold.

Napo has received honours from a number of notable international organisations, including the United Nations (UN), in addition to the honorary doctorate degrees.

On Saturday, July 29, 2023, the UCC will also recognise other deserving individuals, like Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI and Dr. K.K. Sarpong.

Prof. Harold Stwart Amonoo-Koufi, Dr. Deborah Rose, Dr. Yaw Adu-Agyei Gyamfi, and Prof. Daniel A. Wubah will also receive awards from the UCC.
