NSS allowance increased

Staff members of the National Service Scheme (NSS) will now get a higher monthly stipend, as revealed by NSS management.

According to the announcement, "all National Service Personnel who are currently in active service are entitled to arrears for the difference in the upward adjustment from January, 2023, and would be paid accordingly."

FEDERAL PROGRAMME OF VOLUNTEERING A monthly rise for national service personnel has been approved by the government.

The government has given the National Service Scheme's management the go light to raise the monthly allowances of National Service Personnel from GH559.04 to GH715.57 starting in January 2023.

Involvement from the National Service Scheme, the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, and the Ministry of Finance led to the election of Abena Osei-Asare as a member of parliament.

All serving members of the National Service are entitled to back pay beginning in January 2023 to account for the discrepancy in the cost of living increase.

Therefore, management requests all National Service Personnel to be patient until the last administrative steps are taken to ensure all arrears are paid in full.
