New Ningo hosts its third annual Traditional Talent Festival.

The third Bienniel Traditional Talent Festival (Tratalfest) was hosted by the NiPDA's culture and tourism department in New Ningo, Ningo District, Greater Accra Region.

The goal of the Bienniel Traditional Talent Festival was to use cultural promotion to stimulate the local economy, and so the festival was held under the subject cultural Heritage in economic growth.

In his introductory remarks, the event's chairman and member of the African Diaspora Group, Mr. Jerry Johnson, said that Africans were the genuine definition of humanity, and that it was important to protect and celebrate their distinct cultural traditions.

Mr. Johnson went on to remark that African kids were the most emulated by non-Africans around the world, and that they should be proud of their heritage and history.

He believed that Africa's prosperous future lay in its rich cultural history.

Mr. Johnson urged all parties involved to teach students the proper version of African history in order to rectify the many distortions of the African continent that have been perpetuated over the years.

Ningo Prampram's director of culture and tourism, Mrs. Joyce Ayorkor Guddah, told the Ghana News Agency on the sidelines of the event that one of the goals of the Bienniel Traditional Talent Festival was to scout local talent.

Mrs. Guddah has stated before that this event will also act as a prologue to the prelude hommowo celebration, which will begin in August 2023 in the Ningo Prampram District.

The Director of Cultural and Tourism in Ningo Prampram went on to say that the shifts in the school year had disrupted their plans, but that the problems that had derailed cultural activities for the schools had been resolved.

Mr. Guddah said that teaching kids about Africa's rich cultural heritage is the most effective approach to increase interest in the continent's past, and that Ningo Prampram has the resources to capitalise on cultural tourism.

She urged the inhabitants of Ningo Prampram to preserve their cultural traditions by rallying behind the many distinct ethnic groups that make up the city.

At the Ancestral wall in New Ningo, in the Ningo Prampram District, students from Afienya Vocational and Technical Institute, Ningo Senior High School, and Prampram Senior High School will showcase their talents at the 2023 Bienniel Traditional Talent Festival.
