Otumfuo appoints four Kotoko Interim Management Commitee

A four-person Interim Management Committee (IMC) has been appointed by Asante Kotoko owner and life patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

This comes after the 12-member board of directors under Dr. Kwame Kyei's leadership and the management team under Nana Yaw Amponsah's watch both resigned when their terms ended.

On Saturday, July 22, 2023, Otumfuo announced the four-person IMC for the next 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season.

The Kontomponiaferehene, Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, is also a certified public accountant.

In addition to the new head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and the administrative manager Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, the board also includes former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah.

While the club's administration is being reorganised, "His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene," has formed an interim management committee (IMC).

Members include Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, a chartered accountant and the Kontomponiaferehene, Akwasi Appiah, a former national coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the team's head coach, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, the team's administrative manager.

"The IMC is to ensure the club fulfil all statutory obligations of the Premier League and prepare a formidable team for the next season," the statement continued.
