Payet exist Marseille

Dimitri Payet, a veteran midfielder for Marseille and a past captain, has been given permission to leave the Ligue 1 team before the end of his contract, club president Pablo Longoria said on Friday.
"Our captain and I have chosen not to go on with the adventure. It took a long time to think about and talk about," Longoria said at a press meeting at the Velodrome stadium with Payet.
The 36-year-old former France international, who was under contract until June 2024, told reporters through tears that he wanted to "keep playing football" after a "very hard season" in which he didn't get much playing time.
He also said that he wanted to give himself "time" to figure out what to do next.
Payet has played for Marseille twice for a total of eight and a half seasons, in between which he played for West Ham for two years. He has played in 326 games and scored 78 goals, but he has never won a title.
He also played for Lille, Saint-Etienne, and Nantes in Ligue 1.
From 2015 to 2017, when he was at West Ham, he played 49 games and scored 11 goals before going back to Marseille.
But Payet was never able to fit into Igor Tudor's plans in his last season as coach. He only played in 26 games and scored four goals. Most of the time, he played a few minutes at the end of a game when Marseille was third in Ligue 1.
