Police looking high and low for notorious Kumasi Amakom criminal for Stealing GH¢57k

Abdul Munaf Lawal, a 30-year-old Muslim man from Amakom close to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, is currently being pursued by the illegal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service for his illegal actions.

Master Benjamin Frimpong, a resident of Santa Maria, Accra, who suffers from kidney ailment, reports that someone stole a staggering GH 57,000.00 from his ATM Visa Card.

Master Benjamin Frimpong has an account at the Accra branch of Prudential Bank Ghana, and a further inquiry verified that GH 57,000.00 had been withdrawn from the account using the stolen ATM Visa Card.

Master Benjamin Frimpong and his father, Mr. Tano Frimpong, were upset by the disappearance of Abdul Munaf Lawal, whose Ghana National ID NO: GHA-71645639-3 and Passport NO: G391620 were used in the scam.

Mr. Benjamin Frimpong had just returned to Ghana after a successful kidney transplant in Kolkata, India when he was deceived by Abdul Munaf Lawal.

Mr. Frimpong Tano, the victim's father, filed a formal complaint with the Asokwa District Police Command of the Ashanti Region and the Sowutuom District Police Command in Accra on July 1, 2013.

Both the Asokwa District Police Command and the Sowutuom District Police Command have verified that a criminal complaint has been filed against Abdul Munaf Lawal and have indicated that they are actively searching for him since he is currently fleeing arrest.

In an interview, Mr. Frimpong explained that they had met Abdul Munaf Lawal while in Kolkata, India, for Benjamin Frimpong's kidney transplant surgery. He also recalled the young Muslim man from Ghana who had travelled all the way to Kolkata to give a kidney to someone in need.

The police are still looking for Abdul Munaf Lawal so that he can be brought to justice for his alleged crimes.
