Tijjaniya Muslims ally for global peace

As the Muslim community ushers in the New Islamic Year on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, the Tijjaniya Muslims Movement of Ghana (TMMG) has stressed the importance of maintaining international harmony.

The Islamic values of peace and security, justice, equality, and tolerance, love and compassion, unity, charity, and humanity are all important to us, and we hope that Muslims everywhere would take this chance to reflect on this.

"On the 75th anniversary of the Deceleration of Human Rights," Islam demands and prioritises the right of every person to live with respect, dignity, and peace no matter where they happen to be in the world. This was announced by TMMG Executive Secretary Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman in a statement to the Ghana News Agency in Tema.

Quranic verses were cited by Alhaji Osman, an Eminent Member of the National Peace Council of Ghana, to support the plea for peace.

And he who saves one is said to have saved all of humanity. Allah has created human life sacrosanct; murder without just cause is forbidden.

He said that mankind have a responsibility to safeguard the planet, abstain from immoral behaviour, act morally, and serve God with all their heart.

"By this, we beseech and implore all to express gratitude to the Almighty Allah by fostering peace, tolerating difference, loving one another, and giving to those in need.

We beseech Allah for mutual understanding and prosperity that will last for generations. The movement prayed to God to "bless our homeland, Ghana, and make her great and strong."
